Welcome to the Fred Wolfe Carriage House. The station was built in 1982 with volunteer help. The driving force in building this station
was our departed Chief Fred Wolfe and the firefighters. We share the station with the Silverton Ambulance Asscioation. The ambulance
folks have three transport vehicals and with our seven in a four bay station well you can imagine we are a bit overcrowded.
As you will see in the next pictures we have equipment stored outside. Not a good good thing in the emergency world.
We are in
the process of trying to build a new four bay station to house are equipment. It will be a long process but it seems all of the firefighters
are for the process. This will give us much needed space for our daily operations. At this present time we are spread out in many
locations and this is not what we need in the fire and rescue service.
If you would like to help or know of someone who can
help with this process please contact us. Many hands make a light work load.
